TESTIMONIALS & Reviews

What Our Visitors Say

"I love Pop-ups on the Bay, it is truly the best Sunday destination!"

We rented a 3-person kayak ($30 for one hour – they provide life jackets, etc.), had a delicious cinnamon bun from Benj’s ($5 – but for goodness’ sake, tip this vendor), enjoyed Gators’ large fries with gravy and a drink ($10), and grabbed ice cream from Golden Scoops ($2.25 for a generous kiddie cone). There’s also mini putt and other awesome food vendors.

Will definitely be back!

The Lite and Glow Kayak rental is absolutely amazing went the other day to check it out and talked with Kiley who was very knowledgeable and helpful!

definitely recommend 😊

Tried Mel’s Perogies this afternoon – both the potato & cheese and pulled pork were delicious! Great service too – we even got a “sneak peek” taste of their special for Canada Day (Donair), and it was so yummy!

Highly recommend 🤗❤️

The falafel and shawarma were absolutely delicious and made by the loveliest woman! Great food in a beautiful place, what more could you want?

What is Pop-Ups on the Bay?

It’s a free outdoor summer event on the Belleville waterfront with rotating food trucks, handmade goods, live music, and family-friendly fun every week.

Where is it located?

At West Zwick’s Park in Belleville, Ontario—right by the Bay of Quinte. The entrance is off Bay Bridge Road with signs and parking near the event space.

When is it open?

From May 29 to September 1, every Thursday to Sunday, plus holiday Mondays, running 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.—rain or shine. Some vendors may be open as late as 11:30 on outdoor movie nights!

Does it cost anything to get in?

Nope—it’s completely free. You only pay for what you eat, buy, or play. Bring your crew, no ticket needed.

What kind of food and vendors will I find?

Expect a changing lineup of local eats, desserts, drinks, artisan goods, and games—every weekend’s a bit different, so there's always something new.

Can I bring kids and pets?

Yes! It’s kid-friendly and pet-friendly. There’s a playground, mini-golf, open space to run around, and leashed dogs are welcome all over.

Where do I park?

There’s free parking on-site at West Zwick’s Park. Overflow lots and street parking are nearby too. Signs will guide you in.

Is the event accessible?

Yes. The park has paved walkways, accessible washrooms, and wide-open space for strollers and wheelchairs.

What if it rains?

The event runs rain or shine, and many vendors have tents or covered areas. Bring an umbrella just in case—it’s still a good time.
